Senior Category Manager – Capital Procurement Location: Brighton Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum About the Role: Alexander Lloyd are working with a large utilities organisation based in Brighton who are seeking a highly skilled Senior Category Manager to lead strategic procurement activities for capital projects. In this role, you will develop and implement category strategies, ensuring value for money, compliance, and sustainability while delivering exceptional outcomes for stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end procurement activities for capital projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Develop and execute category strategies to drive cost savings and improve supplier performance. Manage supplier relationships, including contract negotiations and performance reviews. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver tailored procurement solutions. Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and industry best practices. Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement. About You: Significant experience in capital procurement, including managing high-value contracts and suppliers. Strong knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices in the UK. Proven ability to develop and implement category strategies that deliver measurable benefits. Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
