The position of People Team Lead at DEA will be an exciting and challenging role and will support the Head of People in developing and implementing proactive people resourcing plans that attract and retain talent to fully support DEA’s Cultural and Growth aspirations. To be successful in the role of People Team Lead, you should have exceptional foresight, outstanding communication and narrative writing skills as well as Team Leadership experience combined with extensive and current knowledge of HR practices and developing trends. The right candidate will be meticulous and detail focused with the proven ability to work to challenging deadlines. It is critical that the People Team Lead can fully represent the needs of the People Team, whilst balancing the complex and sometimes competing needs of the wider business and in these instances the right person will be able to fully collaborate with their peers to find the right, and sometimes pragmatic way forward. A key part of the DEA Group People Team and therefore expected to positively collaborate to form and promote the Vision, Mission and Values within the organisation. With the support of the Head of People, accountable for all areas of the DEA People function. Including, but not limited to:- Support the Head of People to achieve external recognition (such as Investors in People and Great Place to Work) with a goal of becoming a Top 100 Employer in the UK within two to three years (by 2026). Create and implement strategies which promote and enable a values-driven workplace culture. Working with colleagues and the wider team to inspire and drive positive change. Support the business through anticipated scaling and transition of a Key Account service delivery (including Maintenance operation and post-holders) to Malta and change in business operating model to a Divisional (matrix) organisation. Develop and oversee the structured and group wide delivery of Talent development reviews. Leading the Talent acquisition team to support the development of our Internal recruitment model and oversee structured approaches to recruitment, selection, onboarding and succession planning. Working with the Head of People and the People Systems Lead to continuously improve the group’s data led cloud based integrated HRIS and payroll systems infrastructure (the business’s chosen HRIS platform is HiBob and payroll system Pento). Ensure that all “People” policies and practices remain legally compliant in all group territories (currently UK, Malta and Poland) and reflect progressive trends within the sector and profession Deliver structured coaching for leaders with a view to developing their competence and skill to lead on HR matters independently. Lead on complex employee relations issues and support the People team in more routine cases. Support organisational design, growth and restructure activities, providing support on HR and employment law elements. Act as the key point of contact for Group People matters and initiatives, sharing best practice and implementing Group HR policies / practices where required. Oversee the maintenance of HR and personnel files in a GDPR compliant manner. Create and maintain a suite of HR and people metrics for use by the Leadership Team in planning and decision-making. Support the Compensation and Benefits Lead to conduct regular benchmarking of pay and reward practices, suggesting and implementing changes to attract and retain the best talent and working with Delivery leads to offer competitive and progressive rewards structures. Building and executing a Communications plan that supports the positive development of DEA’s internal brand to ensure that we create a positive narrative that supports our cultural aspirations. Conduct annual pulse surveys to track internal eNPS scores and make suggestions for improvement, Responsible for ensuring that all Company processes are led by example and followed as designed. At all-times, comply with Company policies, procedures, and instructions. Implement new ideas and methods and continue to seek ways of both improving contribution to the organisation’s goals and enhancing the reputation of the company. Skills and Requirements - BSc. or MSc. degree (preferred) in a Human resources specialism or equivalent experience. Chartered Member of the CIPD or demonstrable experience Has a proven track record of HR leadership and project management in a fast growing SME environment. Extensive Knowledge managing complex employee relations issues. Has supported the delivery of complex people resourcing plans involving multiple stakeholders and suppliers. Familiarity with and experience of implementing modern, data led, cloud based integrated HRIS systems (chosen platform HiBob). Has proven experience identifying and maintaining relationships with key local service providers in non-UK geographic territories to support payroll, HR, global mobility etc. Highly visible within the company taking proactive steps to manage their profile and approachability. Ability to work and make recommendations / decisions at pace with the support of the Head of People. Retains a positive and constructive mindset when faced with challenging problems and issues. Builds consensus and support for People plans so these are delivered through the company’s leaders and operational managers. Demonstrates a proactive approach in how their actions and decisions affect colleagues and business outcomes. Builds high quality, credible and trusted relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders. Seeks and values input from others when making decisions. Agility and flexibility to work in a fast paced and demanding delivery environment. Experience of working with Google Workspace Ability to travel periodically. May include international and domestic travel as required. This role will be based at Retford Gamston Airport with infrequent travel to our other office in Lincoln
