Senior Data Engineer Location: Manchester – Hybrid Working Employment Type: Full Time The Opportunity: A Tier One Technology Consultancy seeks an influential Senior Data Engineer to help lead across design, build and deployment of cloud-based data solutions - transforming raw data into actionable insights that inspire ingenuity. Essential Skills & Experience: • Lead Data Engineering teams in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data solutions using AWS data and analytics services. • Recognized as a trusted expert defining the end-to-end software development lifecycle in line with modern AWS best practices. • Extensive AWS experience, spanning data engineering, data science, and product development projects. • Expertise in AWS cloud technologies for ETL pipeline, data warehouse, data lake design/building, and data movement. • Design and deploy production data pipelines in big data architecture using Java, Python, Scala, Spark, and SQL. Tasks involve scripting, API data extraction, and writing SQL queries. • Comfortable designing and building for AWS cloud, encompassing Platform-as-a-Service, server-less, and container technologies. • Familiarity with advanced concepts like data mining, machine learning, and natural language processing. • Proficiency in Agile teams and Scrum ceremonies.
