PCB Technologist Salary: Circa £56,000 depending on experience Location: Stevenage or Bolton (Relocation package available) Working Arrangement: Hybrid working, with 2-3 days per week on-site Security Clearance: British Citizen or Dual UK national with British citizenship required. Security checks will apply. The Opportunity We are looking for a skilled PCB Technologist to lead and develop the component failure analysis function within our organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside technical experts in a supportive and collaborative environment. In this role, you will: Drive the development and evaluation of new processes and equipment for component failure analysis at national and international levels. Work with internal and external partners and suppliers, including opportunities for international travel. Understand materials, characteristics, and processes of circuit card assembly and printed circuit board manufacturing to identify and address system and component failures. Conduct laboratory assessments of component failures and liaise with engineering, manufacturing, and testing teams. Provide expert advice, influence decision-making, and help define best practices through reports and documented standards. Develop and integrate new PCB technologies into a variety of programs while expanding your technical skills across diverse areas. What We’re Looking For You’ll need demonstrable experience in: Electronic design and component specification with a strong understanding of PCB and sub-assembly manufacturing processes. Fault finding on circuit card assemblies down to the component level. Managing work packages, balancing cost, quality, and schedules. Delivering projects on time with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Leading small teams (preferred but not essential).
