Director Program Management

Associate Director, Program Management- Innovative Start-Up Biotech Location: United Kingdom Remote working with occasional travel to HQ in Oxford About the Company We are working with an Oxford biotech organisation, who are developing innovative therapeutics for chronic inflammatory & autoimmune diseases. Founded by a group of leading scientists, they have made great progress through Discovery and pre-clinical and are now preparing for their first Phase I program. Additional assets are progressing through pre-clinical, aiming to move into Phase I within the next 9-12 months. The Role Associate Director, Program Management is a newly created position to support the recent progress of the organisation. This will be the first Program Management position, and you will be responsible for creating this function from scratch. You will complete tactical reporting, sit at an asset level to help project leaders, and have a portfolio element to the role too. This is the first Program Management hire, and will play a crucial role in building this function as the assets progress through to the clinic. A flexible remote or hybrid working model is on offer for the right candidate. The Candidate We are looking for candidates who have the below experience: At least 5 years industry experience from a biotech or pharmaceutical organisation 2 years in Program Management for a drug development program (candidates who have only worked in CRO or CDMO environments are unlikely be considered for this role) Experience of working with preclinical & phase I assets is required Program/ Portfolio Management of more than 1 program will be beneficial A clear passion & motivation for bringing innovative therapeutics to patients A willingness to work in a fast-paced dynamic start-up biotech environment Please apply with an up to date CV for consideration.
