Qualified Financial Accountant - Award winning business - fantastic location Job Type: Full-time, Contract (3 months minimum) Location: Office-based 4 days a week, remote on Fridays Salary: £50,000 TO £60,000 per annum (£24.65 p/h PAYE to £29.59 p/h PAYE) - Day rates and Umbrella available We are seeking a Qualified Financial Accountant to join our client's team on a temporary basis. This role is crucial for supporting our finance department with VAT returns, assisting in the upcoming audit, and aiding with year-end procedures. Day-to-day of the role: Prepare and submit VAT returns in a timely and accurate manner. Provide essential support during the external audit process scheduled for February. Assist with year-end closing processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. Collaborate with the finance team to implement best practices and improve financial procedures. Ensure all financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation. Required Skills & Qualifications: Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Proven experience in managing VAT returns and understanding VAT legislation. Strong experience in preparing for audits and year-end financial tasks. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
