Teaching Assistant (TA2) Location: Heysham Job Type: Part-time Monday to Friday Salary: £14.18 per hour We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant (Level 2) to join a vibrant school in Heysham. This part-time role involves working Monday to Friday, from 1pm to 3:15pm, providing support between Year 6 and Year 3 classes. The position is set to start immediately and is initially contracted until Easter 2025, with the possibility of extension. Day-to-day of the role: Provide general classroom support to both Year 6 and Year 3. Assist in the delivery of Individual Pupil Programmes (IPPs). Support the teacher in creating a stimulating learning environment. Help manage classroom resources and setup for activities. Work closely with teachers to monitor the progress of students. Assist students with special educational needs, ensuring they are integrated and receive the support they need. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. A patient and supportive approach to student development. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
