BESS Project Manager

AVA Energy is partnered with a key player in the BESS sector currently undergoing a growth phase, seeking Project Managers to play a leading role in deploying their BESS solutions. Experience in advancing battery energy storage projects from inception through permitting, design, procurement, and planning to construction readiness will be highly valued. Key Responsibilities: Oversee project engineering workstreams. Liaise with clients, project teams, and external vendors to ensure BESS solutions meet the client’s requirements. Lead and manage the tendering process for new BESS projects. Provide testing, commissioning support, and coordinate BESS equipment during the execution phase. Continuously identify and assess new suppliers and market trends in the BESS sector. Optimize BESS solutions for efficiency and performance. Offer support to both project development and delivery teams, including assisting commercial and engineering teams in managing tenders for new opportunities. Required Qualifications: Thorough understanding of the complete BESS project lifecycle, from initiation to execution. A degree or equivalent qualification (or relevant experience) in an engineering-related field. Solid experience (3-5 years) within the energy storage sector, focusing on both development and construction phases. Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and develop effective mitigation plans to address client needs and project challenges.
