Production Planner

Job Role : Production Planner Location: West Midlands Position: Full-Time (Monday – Friday) Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 per annum I am working with a UK-based food company who focus on the entire food production process serving both retail and foodservice customers, providing fresh and frozen products placing a significant emphasis on sustainability and welfare. The client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to help coordinate production processes, track performance, and ensure the timely delivery of customer orders. You will be responsible for ensuring the accurate preparation and communication of short-term production plans, and optimising resource usage. You will work closely with planning and production teams to ensure operational efficiency and resolve any potential issues. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, update, and communicate short-term production plans to ensure customer orders are completed in a timely and efficient manner. Develop weekly production plans, presenting them to the planning and production teams. Track daily packing and preparation schedules to ensure the fulfilment of production plans. Identify and escalate potential service level and performance issues to help prevent disruptions. Continuously monitor actual performance against planned performance and implement corrective actions as necessary. Gather insights into wider factory processes to record and analyse performance data. Use performance data to drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing personnel and functional performance.
