Site Manager - Network Maintenance - Mechanical Located in the North at either Burradon, Washington or Carlisle Salary starting from £51,405.00 (in line with the TOTEX Site Manager Progression Framework) £6,500 per annum company car/cash allowance Up to 10% bonus as part of the TOTEX Site Manager Incentive scheme The role of the Site Manager - Network Maintenance - Mechanical is to manage a team of electrical, instrument & gas quality technicians, to successfully deliver business targets. In this role, you will oversee mechanical maintenance on all NGN assets across the network footprint. This role is a critical line manager position within NGN, reporting directly to the Mechanical Operations Manager for the network. You are responsible for team development and should strive to maintain a healthy and safe workplace environment, excellent stakeholder experience and efficient workload delivery. The post-holder will be expected to contribute to the tactical direction of the NGN business generally and Site Operations specifically. You will bring a passion for developing a team spirit with a mixed team of newly qualified engineers and highly experienced colleagues. Key accountabilities and responsibilities will include Delivery of maintenance workload within budget and in line with targets Manage site operations, maximise efficiency while delivering excellent customer and safety performance Ensure that site activities are effectively delivered in line with NGN Policies and Practice and compliant to OFGEM statutory regulations Successfully manage a large engineering team located over a wide geographic area Resolve all network faults within agreed response timescales Support the network planning team with monthly workload assignment Own the workload delivery and report on KPIs in management performance meetings Review and approve all technical test results from maintenance activities Organise managerial support Resolve technical queries from the operational team Support the management team with implementation of new processes Perform engineering and safety audits on the team Resolve any safety related concerns with the assistance of the EH&S team Personal development within role to remain in line with current regulations Personal development in role to achieve SAP / AE Status under EL6 & SCO Drive team development and competency (STCs) Mentor apprentices and trainee colleagues Lead on monthly team meetings to discuss performance and safety Proactively engage with customers and assist with resolving customer complaints Respond to customer enquiries and complaints promptly and effectively in line with NGN Customer Complaints Standards of Service Pro-actively manage performance issues, Sickness, Absence, Productivity, and Relationships What we are looking for in our Site Manager - Network Maintenance - Mechanical Mechanical Pressure Control apprenticeship NVQ (Level 3 or equivalent) EUSR Gas Passport and SCO 1,2,4,5 Working knowledge of TD13, Maint 2 Parts 1 -3 Comfortable working to tight deadlines and delivering on promises and commitments Working knowledge of Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (2000) Maintenance experience (field based) with demonstrable competence working on a wide range of assets up to and including high pressure Experience leading an engineering team to successfully deliver targets and experience with Permits / SSoW Able to interpret engineering drawings Confident with project delivery (minor projects) and the ability to use MS Office It would be highly advantageous to the role if you possessed a HNC, AE Status under SCO, previous experience in a site manager role with remote team management, IOSH Managing Safely / SMSTS and A1 Assessor Full UK driving licence What we offer you A competitive starting salary from £51,405 41.25 hours per week over a 7-day variable work pattern, including standby. Rotas are given in advance and will include some night shifts although this would not be expected on a weekly basis TOTEX Site Manager Incentive Mechanism (Bonus) 25 days annual leave (plus recognised bank holidays and 2 half days over the Christmas period) Day 1 2: Equivalent of Statutory Sick Pay, from calendar day 3 onwards full occupational sick pay A generous stakeholder 5/10 pension scheme We are Northern Gas Networks.
