Test Technician

We’re looking for an Off-Highway Machinery Test Technician to work in a Global Engine Development facility based in Peterborough. This is an initial 12 month contract, likely to be extended and long term for the right person. Your duties will include; Working on own initiative as well as to engineers’ instructions Assist engineers in performing Needs Analysis, initiating ideas, evaluating and contributing to the design of new products and processes Diagnosing and fixing a range of faults on machines and powertrains Reading and interpreting engineering drawings (electrical, mechanical and hydraulic) as well as manufacturing specific parts from drawings Adhere to company processes including Safety, Standard Work and Quality What we’re looking for? Demonstrable understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical/electronic systems with a good working knowledge of powertrains and machines Competent and fully conversant with engineering drawings. Good PC skills – office suite.
