Job Description

Are you passionate about Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement? Would you like to elevate your career by becoming the linchpin of process improvement as an Operational Excellence Lead for a Global Pharmaceutical business based in Hertfordshire? This pivotal role within the Operational Excellence department will see you driving project activities utilising Lean Six Sigma and/or similar process improvement methodologies. As an Operational Excellence Lead, you will be a crucial member of the site team, working closely with the Head of Operational Excellence to deploy Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Your action-oriented, collaborative approach will be instrumental in forming trust-based relationships with colleagues at all levels, ensuring the identification and execution of enhancement opportunities. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Your duties as the Operational Excellence Lead will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows: 1. Lead process improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methods to enhance effectiveness and efficiency. 2. Facilitate "kaizen" sessions, providing coaching to ensure continuous improvement goals are met. 3. Train staff on Lean Six Sigma principles, sharing expertise and best practices within the global team. 4. Support and coach staff in their own continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to health and safety policies. ROLE REQUIREMENTS: To be successful in your application as the Operational Excellence Lead, we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history: 1. A relevant degree qualification in a STEM discipline or similar. The successful candidate will be a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. 2. Proven experience in Lean Six Sigma and Continuous improvement initiatives within a highly regulated operational/manufacturing environment, such as the Pharmaceutical, Medical Device or Food and Beverage sector. 3. Experience leading DMAIC projects through to completion.
