Compliance Specialist

Role: Compliance Specialist Type: Full time, permanent Location: Central London, 3 days a week onsite Salary: Up to £80,000 A global energy & commodities trading client are offering the opportunity for a Compliance Specialist to join their team on a full time basis. You'll be responsible for ensuring that an appropriate, robust, and practical global compliance framework is in place. The function develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and processes to ensure that the business and functions comply with rules and regulations applicable to our business. The Compliance Specialist should be a strong, self-starter who has solid experience in commodities, communications monitoring, and trade surveillance. The Compliance Specialist will take responsibility for all aspects of the monitoring and surveillance tasks. Responsibilities of the Compliance Specialist include: Trade surveillance including ongoing maintenance of systems, investigations and escalations as required Conduct ongoing maintenance of systems, providing advice, guidance and escalations as required Lead compliance IT projects, specifically for the ongoing improvement of their monitoring and surveillance systems Keep up to date with the regulatory landscape, including providing updates to the business and executives when needed Requirements of the Compliance Specialist include: 3 years experience in compliance at a energy & commodities company Strong experience in communications monitoring and surveillance Strong relationship management skills and the ability to build enduring partnerships This is a hybrid role based in Central London with a competitive package.
