Specialty Insurer - Quantitative Investment Opportunity

Clarence George is working with a leading UK Specialty Insurer on a prestigious Fixed Income position within the Group Chief Investment Team. This position will cover a blend of quantitative and qualitative activities, including supporting investment management and analysing new strategy and solutions across asset classes at the Group Level. Role: Work alongside the Group Investment Team to design and analyse new investment strategy and asset allocation decisions Support communication between investment and risk management teams across capital, liquidity, and risk management areas Provide regular reviews of investment performance including the assistance of ESG initiatives for investment portfolios Profile: They are looking for someone with a strong technical background Experience across asset classes would be ideal but particular knowledge of Fixed Income is essential Minimum 5 years’ experience Open to qualifications such as FIA and CFA Experience across insurance (open to both life and non-life backgrounds) Experience in non-excel based language would be preferred (Python, Matlab, R etc) Strong problem-solving and organisational skills The firm have been doing very well and offer many opportunities for career progression and growth.
