Web Developer

Job Title: Web Developer Term: Permanent I am working with a client based in Yorkshire who is looking to expand their team by adding a Web Developer. In this role, you will be responsible for contributing to the development of dynamic WordPress websites, custom themes, plugins, and high-performance systems. Your expertise in both back-end and front-end technologies will be essential, as you will use your proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL to create robust, user-centric solutions. As a WordPress Developer, you will work within a collaborative team to optimise website functionality, build and consume REST APIs, and ensure seamless integration of WordPress with other web services. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality, scalable solutions that enhance the user experience and make a lasting impact on the success of the client’s projects. Required Skills: Knowledge of both WordPress and WooCommerce, including theme and plugin development. Experience with Magento and Shopify Familiarity with WordPress hooks, actions, and filters. Strong proficiency in PHP. Excellent skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (including jQuery). Solid understanding of database systems, particularly MySQL. Experience in building and consuming REST APIs. Competency with version control tools. Strong problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail. A focus on website performance and security. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Desirable Skills: Experience with Node.js, React, Next.js, or other JavaScript frameworks. Digital Agency experience.
