Director of Technology

Our Purpose We are ALSG and our mission is to save lives by providing training. We are a world leader, influencing and providing innovative life saving training for everyone responding to medical emergencies. We’re incredibly proud of this Your Purpose We’re looking to enter a new phase of re-building our systems and products to better suit the ever-increasing expectations of delivering digital and online course material and seamless user experience. As Director of Technology you will be leading our technology function, helping to shape and implement our change strategy. You’ll be defining the technology roadmap, be a figurehead for the organisation on the tech front, talking to our trustees and leading and inspiring the team from discussions about innovation through to implementation. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll be accountable for identifying opportunities to add value for ALSG and our partners through appropriate use of technologies. You’ll be responsible for quality and delivery of all technical output, fostering a sense of ownership and pride in delivering a great customer experience. About You This is a key role with high impact on our charity’s performance and strategy, therefore, we are looking for somebody who can evidence many of the capabilities below. Ideally the role would suit a technical leader looking to take a step up. Have strong software engineering and technical skills, still able to roll your sleeves up. Knowledge of Moodle would be an advantage. Committed to developing a high-paced, agile culture with a strong bias to action and the drive to solve customer problems through technology. Comfortable getting into the detail to drive greater impact. Have gravitas and the ability to form strong collaborative relationships with senior leaders and our partners.
