Job Title: Temporary Assistant Accountant Location: Bridgend Salary: £23 – 27 per hour plus holiday pay doe Contract Type: On-going temporary assignment Môrwell Talent Solutions is delighted to be assisting one of its longstanding clients with the recruitment of an on-going temporary Assistant Accountant requirement for its office in Bridgend. Reporting into the Financial Controller, the role will suit an experienced immediately available Assistant Accountant who is looking for a varied and hands on role, working in a dynamic and forward-thinking business, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth running of the accounts function. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities will include - Assisting with the preparation of financial reports and month-end processes. Processing invoices, payments, and reconciling accounts. Supporting VAT returns and compliance activities. Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers. Resolving finance-related queries from internal and external stakeholders. Contributing to ad hoc projects and process improvements as required. Assisting the FC with ad-hoc finance work. Working collaboratively alongside a small finance team. My client is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual with: Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant or similar role. Ideally be an AAT qualified / studier or ACCA / CIMA PQ Strong knowledge of accounting principles and processes. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft intermediate to advanced Excel skills. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills. The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
