Hairdressing and Barbering Lecturer Contract: Part-time, Permanent Salary: From £31,000 Pro Rata Location: Bedford We are seeking a dedicated Hairdressing and Barbering Lecturer to join our team at a college in Bedford. This part-time, permanent role involves preparing, delivering, assessing, and verifying a range of courses and levels. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential in the field of hairdressing and barbering. Day-to-day of the role: Prepare and deliver engaging and informative lessons in hairdressing and barbering. Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to promote learning and improvement. Verify the content and quality of courses to ensure they meet academic and industry standards. Support and guide students through their courses, helping them to achieve their educational and career goals. Stay updated with current developments in hairdressing and barbering to enhance teaching materials and practices. Required Skills & Qualifications: Level 3 qualification in Hairdressing and/or Barbering. Teaching experience is required; a formal teaching qualification is advantageous but not mandatory. Minimum of Grade C in GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent. Proven experience of delivering learning to groups. Up-to-date knowledge of the latest developments in hairdressing and barbering.
