1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Aspire People is partnering with a Primary School in Peterborough to find an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team starting from February Half Term 2025. This role involves supporting a young child with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) in a mainstream classroom. Experience with SEND is preferred for this temp - perm position, which runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM.Requirements:- Confident and experienced in supporting children with challenging behaviour- Comfortable with providing personal care when necessary- Able to adapt to the child's varying moods and needsMain Duties and Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 support for a SEND pupil- Create a safe and supportive learning environment for the pupil and others in the class- Help the pupil stay focused on lesson plans and activities- Adapt support methods based on the child's mood and needs each day- Follow safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures-If you have a caring, patient, and calming nature, we'd love to hear from you Please get in touch with Sara today.Aspire People Limited provides services as an Education Agency and an Education Employment Business.
