A Level Fine Art Lecturer Contract: Part-time, Fixed Term (Maternity Cover until Nov 2025) Salary: From £31,000 Pro Rata Location: Bedford We are seeking an A Level Fine Art Lecturer to join our team at a college in Bedford on a part-time, fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave until November 2025. The successful candidate will work in the Sixth Form department, teaching Fine Arts and supporting students to develop their skills and maximise their potential. Day-to-day of the role: Deliver engaging and informative Fine Art lessons to A Level students. Assess and provide feedback on student work to foster development and achievement. Support students in developing their artistic skills and understanding of Fine Arts. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Fine Arts syllabus and teaching methods to ensure high-quality instruction. Collaborate with colleagues in the Sixth Form department to enhance the learning environment and student experience. Required Skills & Qualifications: Degree in Fine Arts or a relevant subject. Teaching qualification is required. Experience of teaching in a Sixth Form or Further Education environment with 16–18-year-olds. Minimum of Grade C in GCSE English and Maths, or equivalent. Demonstrable record of success in teaching. Up-to-date knowledge of the subject area, syllabus, and teaching methods. Benefits: Competitive pro rata salary starting from £31,000.
