Design Technology (DT) Teacher Required in Basingstoke, Hampshire A school in Basingstoke, Hampshire is seeking a dedicated and skilled Design Technology (DT) Teacher for a permanent, full-time position starting in September 2025. About the Role: Position: Design Technology (DT) Teacher Location: Basingstoke, Hampshire Start Date: September 2025 Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time Teaching Level: Up to GCSE Key Responsibilities: - Deliver engaging and effective Design Technology lessons to secondary school students up to GCSE level. - Specialize in teaching resistant materials and/or CAD/CAM. - Plan and prepare lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students. - Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback. - Maintain high standards of classroom management and student behaviour. Key Qualifications: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. - Experience teaching Design Technology at the secondary level, ideally within the UK. - Strong knowledge of the Design Technology curriculum, including resistant materials and CAD/CAM. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Commitment to student development and educational excellence.
