Senior Systems Security Engineer

My client is a leading Software Solutions provider, serving a vast variety of industries. In this role, your main function will be to oversee cloud and on-premises infrastructure security, system updates, and certificate management, and deliver seamless solutions that meet the needs of the business, including product support. It Involves: Manage and maintain Linux (Amazon Linux 2023) security updates. Execute package management and updates on GitLab & Wazuh. Design, deploy, implement & maintain: Email security protocols (DNS, DKIM, SPF) and best practices (IAM, public clouds vs private zones, least privileges, segregation of duties, and change control) Zero-trust infrastructure (VPN solutions) Network protocols / concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, subnets, routing, and firewalls). Cloud infrastructure (Azure & AWS) - Migration from On-Prem (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL) to cloud-based environments (AWS / Azure). DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines and CI/CD techniques; Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, Atlassian Pipelines, Jenkins). Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) Infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.)
