Assistant Financial Manager

Job Title: Assistant Financial Manager Location: Cape Town Position Overview: Our client and leader in the Retail industry is looking for a skilled Assistant Financial Manager to support the Financial Manager in all aspects of financial planning, analysis, and reporting within the organization. The Assistant Financial Manager will work closely with the Financial Manager to ensure accurate and timely financial information, make strategic financial decisions, and support the overall financial health of the company. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in preparing financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis - Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for improving financial performance - Help streamline financial processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations - Assist in developing financial models and providing insights into financial trends - Work with other departments to provide financial support and guidance - Assist in preparing financial reports for senior management and stakeholders - Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field - 5 years of experience in financial analysis or accounting - Strong understanding of financial principles and practices - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software systems - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Detail-oriented and organized with strong analytical skills Preferred Qualifications: - CPA or CFA certification - Experience in the Retail sector - Knowledge of Financail ERP systems This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and ambitious individual to grow their career in finance and make a significant impact on the financial success of our organization.
