Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation Testing

About the Role : As a Backend Automation QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our backend systems. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test automation frameworks using Rest Assured and Cucumber. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Rest Assured and Cucumber to validate backend APIs. - Create maintainable and reusable test automation frameworks. - Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies to ensure thorough test coverage. - Design and execute test cases to verify functional and non-functional requirements. - Conduct performance testing to evaluate system performance under load. - Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure quality throughout the development process. Required Skills and Experience : - Strong programming skills in Java - Proficiency in Rest Assured and Cucumber frameworks - Experience with API testing and test automation frameworks - Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and collaboration skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team Desired Skills : - Experience with performance testing tools (e., JMeter, LoadRunner) - Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) - Experience with test management tools (e., JIRA, TestRail) (ref:hirist.tech)
