SAP MDG Consultant - Data Services

Title : SAP MDG Consultant Position : Permanent (Fulltime) Exp : 8-15 YEARS Location : Pan India Work mode : Hybrid/WFO Shift : General Roles and Responsibilities : Solution Design and Implementation : - Lead the end-to-end SAP MDG implementation, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, and deployment of Master Data Governance solutions. - Configure and customize SAP MDG to meet business requirements, including Data Governance processes, workflow design, and data quality management. - Implement master data models for key domains such as Material Master, Customer Master, Supplier Master, Finance Master, and Business Partner Master. Master Data Management Strategy : - Design and enforce data governance strategies for master data management (MDM), ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across systems. - Develop data stewardship processes and workflows to maintain high-quality master data across various systems and business units. - Lead data migration and integration efforts, ensuring seamless integration of master data across SAP and non-SAP systems. SAP MDG Customization : - Configure SAP MDG workflows, UI5/Fiori applications, data replication, and data validation rules to streamline the master data governance processes. - Customize MDG-Specific Fiori Apps and implement tailored UI solutions to support end-user adoption. - Perform Data Quality checks and ensure that data is standardized, cleansed, and aligned with business rules. Integration with SAP Systems : - Implement data integration with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and third-party systems, ensuring that data flows seamlessly across various business processes. - Work on data replication strategies using SLT, IDocs, BAPI, or web services to ensure accurate data transfer and consistency. Project Management & Leadership : - Lead the MDG project from planning and execution to go-live and post-go-live support, ensuring project milestones are met. - Collaborate with functional teams (e.g., SAP MM, SD, FI/CO, and MDG specialists) to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to the client's business needs. - Guide junior consultants and team members, providing knowledge transfer and mentoring in SAP MDG functionalities and best practices. Data Governance & Compliance : - Establish data governance frameworks and assist clients in implementing best practices for ensuring compliance with global data standards (e.g., GDPR). - Create and enforce data policies and processes around data quality, data maintenance, and data validation across SAP systems. - Conduct data audits and impact assessments to ensure data is of the highest quality and aligns with corporate policies. Support & Troubleshooting : - Provide post-implementation support for SAP MDG applications, resolve issues, and provide system updates as required. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to master data, MDG configurations, and integration with other SAP and third-party systems. Stakeholder Engagement : - Engage with business stakeholders to understand their data requirements and translate those into MDG solutions that drive business value. - Conduct workshops, training sessions, and presentations to ensure that business users are equipped to use the MDG solution effectively. Key Skills : SAP MDG : - Deep experience with SAP MDG, including implementation, configuration, and optimization of MDG processes and workflows. Master Data Domains : - Expertise in managing master data for key domains such as Material Master, Customer Master, Supplier Master, Finance Master, and Business Partners. Data Integration : - Experience integrating SAP MDG with SAP S/4HANA, ECC, SAP BW, and third-party systems, ensuring data consistency and replication. Fiori/UI5 : - Familiarity with SAP Fiori and UI5 for customizing MDG UIs and enhancing user experience. Data Governance : - Strong understanding of data governance practices, data stewardship, and ensuring data compliance with regulations like GDPR. Data Migration : - Hands-on experience with data migration tools like SAP Data Services and LSMW to migrate master data into SAP MDG. SAP BW and Reporting : - Ability to leverage SAP reporting tools and SAP BW to generate master data quality reports and monitor data health. ABAP : - Knowledge of ABAP for customizations and extensions in MDG processes and workflows. Qualifications : - Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields. - 8 years of experience in SAP MDG consulting with hands-on expertise in configuring, implementing, and supporting SAP MDG solutions. - Proficient in SAP MDG versions (e.g., MDG 7.x, MDG for S/4HANA). - SAP Certified in MDG or other relevant SAP certifications are a plus.
