Site Engineer

We are working with a tier 1 main contractor who are looking for an experienced Site Engineer to join their team on a full time basis working on Highways and Rivers projects. As the Site Engineer you will be an integral member of the site management team - alongside setting out, you're involved in weekly progress reports, monthly planning, site logistics and client liaison. Life assurance cover (4x salary) Company pension scheme (up to 8%) 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Company car / car allowance Progression opportunities Plus much more Key Responsibilities Setting out using total stations, GPS equipment, and to be able to undertake traditional setting out using profiles, batter rail and pegs Read and review construction drawings Undertake basic take-off’s Raising technical queries with designers and other members of the client team Have a good commercial understanding and know the difference between cost and value Carry out relevant inspections and testing to ensure conformance of the works with the design and specification Ensure all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures What do we need from you? Previous experience in civil engineering, which should include highways, infrastructure, and reinforced concrete works Degree/HNC or equivalent in Civil Engineering SSSTS ICE Membership CSCS Full UK Driving License First Aid (desirable) Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK. Salary for this role will be dependent upon experience and discussed upon shortlisting
