Job Description
Job title : Day fitter Responsible to : Department: Engineering Reporting to: Job purpose: To maintain the equipment on site to ensure safe and efficient operation. Working with the chargehand to ensure that all maintenance is carried out to the correct standard maintaining a safe operation. Key Accountabilities: Carry out routine / preventative and reactive maintenance on all mechanical aspects of the plant in a safe and efficient manner. Assist with the loading and offloading of shipments. Respond to plant breakdowns as required. Carry out routine inspections and maintenance associated with the, plant preventative maintenance system (FSI). Ensure all work completed to a high standard. Comply with all H&S procedures, including permit to work. Assist in the preparation / implementation of RAMS, necessary to carry out each task. Comply with Health and Safety requirements, as per training, policies, procedures, risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work etc. Report any H&S issues/accidents/near misses to line manager. Attend training as required to maintain personal qualifications/competence. Other: Carry out any reasonable duties as identified by your line manager or team leader Positively represent ICL to our customers and suppliers Ensure compliance with all contractual employment obligations. Ensure compliance with our ISO standards. Fully participate in the company's performance management and development programmes. Maximise own ability to produce quality work, on time, and to brief, utilising best skills and available technology. Work in accordance with the Company's Human Resources policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
