Management Accountant

Our client, a well-established music and events company based in London, are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Management Accountant who wants to elevate their career to join their small but growing finance team. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with the Head of Finance, managing three ledgers while delivering insightful analysis across various KPIs. Prepare flash and KPI reports alongside accurate monthly management accounts to draft level for review. Reconcile and manage all balance sheets, including intercompany balances, accruals, prepayments, revenue adjustments, fixed assets, and control accounts. Oversee payroll journals, resolving any queries directly with stakeholders. Draft and review intercompany recharges, ensuring accurate cross-company invoicing. Reconcile direct debit and PDQ general ledger accounts, and prepare, reconcile, and file VAT returns. Manage and mentor two Finance Assistants, providing support and ensuring deadlines for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and ad hoc tasks are met. Reconcile income, ensuring accurate posting of revenue journals from the CRM system and ticket platforms, while managing venue hire and event invoicing. Assist with budget and forecast preparation and provide general business support. Play a key role in the annual audit process, acting as the primary point of contact. Contribute to continuous improvement by providing systems and Excel training across the business and supporting the Head of Finance with daily operations. What We’re Looking For: AAT qualified with proven experience in a similar role. Ambitious, with a drive to progress and work effectively under tight deadlines. Prior experience in a creative, fast-paced environment is advantageous. Knowledge of revenue recognition would be a plus. What’s On Offer: Competitive salary of £45k - £48k.
