Job Description

Art and Design Teacher We are seeking a passionate and creative Art and Design Teacher to join a dynamic team in a well-established educational setting in Scunthorpe. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is dedicated to inspiring students and fostering a love for art and design. Day-to-day of the role: Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring art and design lessons that engage and challenge students across a range of abilities. Encourage creativity and self-expression among students while teaching skills in a variety of art forms, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital media. Assess and record students’ progress, providing feedback and support to ensure academic and artistic development. Maintain a stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity. Collaborate with colleagues to integrate art with other subjects and participate in school events and exhibitions. Stay updated with current art trends and educational strategies to enhance teaching practices. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Art and Design. Experience teaching Art and Design in a secondary school environment. Strong organisational and communication skills. Ability to foster a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour effectively. Passion for art and design, with a strong portfolio of personal or professional work.
