1:1 Tutor

The Opportunity Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support and individuals with SEND. We are currently looking for a qualified and experienced 1:1 Tutor to provide support to a looked after child in Accrington. The young person is in Year 9 but is performing below age related expectations (KS2). Support is required across core subjects. Position Details: Location: Accrington Position: 1:1 Tutor Type of work: Supply Hours: 6 hours p/w - 3 x 2 hour sessions Start date:ASAP Duration: End of the academic year Hourly rate: £30.00 Experience, Training and Qualifications: QTS or equivalent Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential) UK classroom teaching experience Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box Previous experience with SEN, particularly SEMH To be eligible for this role, you must: Hold the right to work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child-related references.
