Job Description
Location: Slough, Berkshire Salary: £33,075 to £50,471 Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent Start Date: Easter 2025 We are looking for a Science Teacher with a preference for a Chemistry specialist to join a well-established and forward-thinking school in Slough. This exciting opportunity is open to both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators who are passionate about teaching science and inspiring pupils to develop their scientific knowledge. As a Science Teacher, you will deliver high-quality lessons across key stages, with an emphasis on Chemistry. You will play an integral role in fostering a love for science and ensuring pupils reach their full potential in the subject. Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and high-quality science lessons, with a focus on Chemistry. Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback. Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to share teaching strategies and resources. Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice. Ideal Candidate: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Chemistry or a related field. Passionate about teaching Chemistry and inspiring pupils in the sciences. Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage pupils effectively. Able to assess pupil progress and provide meaningful feedback. A collaborative team player who contributes to a positive school environment.
