Head of Finance – Retail Location: West Yorkshire Salary: £75,000 - £80,000 Excellent Bonus & Benefits Elevation Senior Finance is currently looking to recruit a Head of Finance on behalf of a growing and exciting Retail organisation in West Yorkshire.My client is keen to find a confident and personable qualified accountant with a passion for being involved in the wider business, driving the company forward and improving the processes and systems within. You will be involved in the commercial and operational decision making which will shape the path the business takes over the next few years. If you are innovative and enjoy driving change and leading and developing staff then this is an all-encompassing position whereby you can really add value and make an impact, supporting the strategic direction of the business. Duties & Responsibilities: Support the CEO in communicating financial strategy issues and recommended changes to Senior Management and the Board Leading the weekly Trade meetings to instil commercial and financial challenge to support the executive team in delivering the company’s strategic imperatives Build strong and positive relationships with Directors and Senior Managers, providing the necessary assistance and professional advice they need for the delivery of their own personal and business KPI’s Support and contribute to the production of the five-year business plan and financial strategy Analyse competitor and market financial information to provide insight to assist with decision making Support the business with preparation of forecasts and budgets using key cost drivers and trends Challenge business assumptions in budgets and plans Ensure efficiency actions are translated into identifiable budget and forecast results Overall responsibility for the management of the team including managing their development area Skills and experiences: CIMA, ACCA OR ACA Qualified Recent relevant experience in Retail or FMCG ideally Ability to lead, influence and coach direct reports Stakeholder management and influencing Commercial and operational decision support Strong IT skills including advanced Excel Elevation Accountancy & Finance is a specialist division of Elevation Recruitment focusing on the recruitment of talented Accountancy and Finance professionals across all levels, from Ledger Clerks to Financial Directors in Yorkshire and surrounding regions.
