Job Description

Job Title: Finance and Operations Manager Location: Sevenoaks and London (with occasional international travel) Experience Required: Minimum 5 years in finance and/or operations management Are you an experienced finance professional with a strong background in investment oversight and operational management? We are seeking a Finance and Operations Manager to join a private office supporting an entrepreneurial family. This is a unique opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to blend financial acumen with operational expertise while contributing to meaningful projects and ventures. Key Responsibilities Financial and Investment Management: Oversee family investments, including performance reviews, structures, and service providers. Support capital allocation decisions and evaluate investment opportunities. Manage financial service providers across the UK/Europe, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality service. Assist with tax filings, financial record-keeping, and expense tracking for business and personal matters. Provide financial analysis to enhance investment returns and operational efficiency. Operational and Administrative Support: Coordinate schedules, travel arrangements, and correspondence for family members. Manage property portfolios, including maintenance, renovations, and vendor relationships. Assist with personal and ad hoc tasks such as event planning, gift purchasing, and bookings. Professional Affairs and Compliance: Collaborate with legal, banking, and insurance professionals on ongoing matters. Organise and securely maintain critical legal and financial documents. Project and Event Management: Support philanthropic and business ventures by conducting research and preparing proposals. Evaluate property development opportunities and oversee renovation projects. Organise private events and gatherings. What Success Looks Like Deliver actionable recommendations on investment opportunities and capital allocation. Create detailed business plans for property development projects. Optimize insurance policies and service provider arrangements for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Conduct feasibility studies for philanthropic ventures. Manage renovation projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery. Skills and Experience Essential: 5 years in finance or operations management, with a focus on investment oversight. Expertise in financial management, including tax filings and expense reporting. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial tools. Desirable: Experience in family office or entrepreneurial settings. Accountancy qualifications and familiarity with legal/financial processes. Interest in AI-driven tools to enhance decision-making.
