FLOATING SUPPORT WORKER 20 hours per week, working over a rolling 7-day rota ( sleep-in shifts) Located in Brighton and Hove. 27 days annual leave (pro rata); plus all statutory public holidays, and additional 3 days at Christmas. Salary: Band 3, starting £26,726 p.a. pro rata (i.e. final salary will be £14,446), in addition to £30.00 per shift (sleep-in) / £15.00 per shift on-call allowances. This is for a permanent contract Are you looking for a new challenge and a genuinely rewarding job? Our client is seeking a Floating Support Worker to join their expert team. Our client provides Brighton & Hove and West Sussexs only gender-specific housing and support to younger people through trauma-informed care. The role is based in Brighton and Hove, which provide a pathway through high, medium, and low-level support. The role will involve working in low-level support projects. The young people our client works with often have a history of negative and damaging relationships including abuse and domestic violence as well as mental health issues, behavioural issues, and substance misuse. The role of the Support Worker is to provide a consistent positive professional relationship that will allow them to start to trust, open up, and address the issues in their past. You will: - Be committed to fostering positive professional relationships with the people you work with. - Understand the effects of early trauma. - Be able to provide on-going support through the transition within our clients accommodation pathway. In return our client offers: - Ongoing support and training. - Reflective practice with external facilitator. - Restorative circles with external facilitator. - Mindfulness, resilience and self-care with an external psychotherapist, and - Generous annual leave allowance. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (1974) and the successful applicant may be subject to a DBS check.
