Job Description
Job Title: Workday Functional Data Lead Location: Fully Remote Employment Type: Full-time About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Workday Functional Data Lead to join our team and play a key role in a major Workday implementation, transitioning from Oracle to Workday. This role requires a hands-on leader with excellent people management skills, deep expertise in Workday HR/Payroll, Financials, and/or Workday Planning, and a proven track record in delivering high-quality solutions in Workday data and reporting. Key Responsibilities: Lead the functional data workstream in a large-scale Workday implementation, ensuring a seamless transition from Oracle to Workday. Act as the primary point of contact for data-related activities, including security, reporting, and auditing processes within Workday. Collaborate with HR and finance teams to understand requirements and develop innovative Workday solutions. Oversee data assurance activities such as purges, system monitoring, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Design and implement Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields to support business operations. Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Manage and resolve data-related issues, working closely with stakeholders to identify and implement corrective actions. Drive the development and enhancement of Workday dashboards and reporting solutions to optimise efficiency and user experience. Ensure compliance with data security and governance standards, including managing security groups and domain/business process security. Act as a trusted advisor, providing input on BAU projects and system improvements. Qualifications: Strong expertise in Workday, with hands-on experience in HR/Payroll, Financials, and/or Workday Planning. Proven experience in data assurance, Workday reporting, and security administration. Excellent people management and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and inspire teams in a remote environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data accuracy and system efficiency. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Experience with Oracle-to-Workday migration projects is highly desirable. Proficiency in Workday tools, including creating reports (matrix, composite, calculated fields), dashboards, and conducting data audits. Familiarity with data governance, system assurance, and monitoring system access and changes. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience in data visualisation.
