Mechanical Design Engineer

Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Role: Enclosures Location: Cambridge Salary: £35k-£45k Platform Recruitment has partnered with a manufacturer that design and develop electro-mechanical products across the full development cycle - concept through to production. They are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their collaborative team and contribute to a variety of projects, ranging from small assemblies to complete systems. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a growing British manufacturer producing cutting-edge electro-mechanical products. The Role: Produce 2D and 3D CAD designs Manager PLM system Produce manufacturing drawings Create bills of materials Develop Jigs, fixtures & support products Work with production to solve technical issues Requirements: Previously designed enclosures or electro-mechanical products Strong understanding of drawing standards 3D CAD design - Solidworks Produce manufacturing drawings Strong communication and teamworking skills The salary will be between £35,000-£45,000 depending on experience. There is also a generous benefits package available.
