TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Oncology RN in Bismarck, North Dakota, 58501 Pay Information $2,038 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical Surgical / Oncology Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day/Night Rotation - 3x12s, first to float, every other weekend, holidays as needed Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required for submission Certifications: BLS Must-Have: - Experience with titrating drips such as Lasix and Heparin Job Description: - Department features 31 beds with nurse-to-patient ratios as follows: Days 1:4-5, Nights 1:5-6. - Common patient diagnoses include adults and geriatrics, strokes (stroke unit, some acute), hypertension, COPD, cellulitis, CHF, A-fib non RVR, chest pain, heart attacks after ICU, cellulitis, altered mental status/behavioral issues, some telemetry, and surgical overflow (no joints or craniotomies). - Oncology patients are attended by core staff capable of administering chemotherapy; no oncology provider present in-house during the day. - Ideal candidates should have experience with trach and BiPAP, though this is not required. - Charge Nurse available on each shift as a resource, typically without assignment unless there's a staffing need. - Nurse aides/patient care techs have a ratio of 1:8. - RNs handle BiPAP stability and established trachs with blow-by oxygen; tele/monitor techs assist with telemetry monitoring. - Self-scheduling is not typically allowed; however, block scheduling is considered if unit needs are met. - The unit fosters a great culture of teamwork and is family-oriented, with an emphasis on making travelers feel supported. - Orientation includes 1-2 shifts on the floor. - Radius rule applies, and any requested time off needs to be declared upfront, with no additional leave approved post-contract submission. - Charting is done using EPIC. - Level 2 Trauma Center in an acute care setting. - BSN is not required. 26591191EXPPLAT Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS BLS Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam About Cynet Health Your travel nursing adventure begins here.
