TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Lincoln, Nebraska, 68510 Pay Information $2,254 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Medical Surgical (Med Surg) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour nights Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required for submission Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Job Description: - Provide comprehensive care for patients with medical, surgical, and orthopedic conditions. - Manage a patient ratio of 1:5-6, occurring at least once a week. - Collaborate with a Charge Nurse on each shift; Charge Nurse also takes assignments. - Administer Heparin drips; other titratable drips not applicable. - Work with Respiratory Therapy (RT), which is available 24 hours on the floor. - Operate within a unit equipped with centralized telemetry. - Coordinate care with nurse aides/patient care techs at a 1:10-12 ratio. - Adhere to navy blue scrub color/dress code. - Complete a comprehensive orientation, including classroom instruction and two 12-hour floor shifts. - Fulfill weekend and holiday requirements as needed. - No call or standby requirements. - Be prepared for possible floating to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Burn unit. - Utilize EPIC for charting. Candidates must adhere to a 50-mile radius rule and are not permitted to hold full-time, part-time, or PRN positions with associated facilities. Request Time Off (RTO) should be submitted upfront, limited to seven days per 13-week contract.
