TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Albany, New York, 12208 Pay Information $2,591 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Float Profession: Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Float Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12.5 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: State License required Certifications: ACLS Must-Have: Epic experience Description: The nurses in our Progressive Critical Care Unit care for some of the most medically delicate and surgically complex patients in our region. These conditions include respiratory failure, sepsis, closed head injuries, multi-system organ dysfunction, endocrine disorders, complex traumas, and surgical complications. Candidates must be competent in the care of medical and surgical populations. Responsibilities also include advanced hemodynamics, including pressor usage according to titration protocols. Experience with antihypertensive drips, sedative and narcan drips, thrombo-embolytics, arterial lines, central venous pressure, external ventricular drain, and orthopedic traction is necessary. Familiarity with infection prevention protocols, high-flow nasal cannula, BiPap/CPAP, and oxypendent systems is required. Nurses with large-scale adult Progressive Care Unit experience and community hospital ICU experience perform well in this setting. Average patient load is 3 high-acuity patients.
