Maintenance Technician

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Technician to work for our well-known client based in Cambridge. The position is permanent role working Monday to Friday (no nights) and they are looking for someone to start as soon as possible. Main Duties Perform planned and reactive maintenance (electrical and mechanical) Provide technical assistance to staff across the institute and set up AV equipment for events. Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimations, and coordinate work schedules for repairs and new installations. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and safety standards. Assist other maintenance technicians, the Facilities Supervisor, and the Facilities Manager. Successful Candidate Qualified Electrician (ECS card or equivalent) preferred – but not required. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, health and safety protocols in a laboratory setting. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and adapt to changing situations.
