Head of Operations

TEXO are looking for a skilled expert in drone operations to lead our Drone Survey Inspection (DSI) division as Head of Operations. Based in Whitham, Essex, you will oversee the daily management, coordination, and training of our survey teams and office staff. This role also encompasses project coordination, technical leadership, and fostering a culture of excellence across the division. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in client relations and support the company’s strategic business development initiatives. Duties & Responsibilities: Project management - Controlling company workload and resources Provide direction to survey teams and UAV teams, including assignment of individual responsibilities, tasks and technical guidance via all scope documents Identify needs and allocate appropriate resources to complete specific project tasks on time/budget Ensure projects are delivered to required level of quality (customer experience) Establish operating procedures, policies and develop survey and UAV workflows / best practices Responsible for career development of all personnel Build relationships with colleagues, clients, and the general public. Review budgets and schedules Identify and pursue business development opportunities Work with Head of UAV and Head of Surveying to propose best solutions to drive business Manage contractors and their work, ensuring adherence to the technical specification and company standards Oversee day to day running of warehouse operations Ensure accounts are informed of invoicing on a day-to-day basis Ensure daily timesheets are completed Monitor jobs and how they are running from a cost perspective daily Organise training of new staff members Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
