Job Description

Team Manager Cheltenham Highly competitive salary My client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Manager / Existing Business manager to join their team in the heart of Cheltenham. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with the management team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the department, driving performance and delivering exceptional customer service. My client has experienced great success and growth and have exciting plans to continue this throughout 2025. You’ll head up a team of between 9-12 who solely oversee existing business and Insurance renewals. Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Supervision: Support the management team in daily operations, train and supervise team members, conduct One-to-One meetings and Performance Development Reviews. Objective Tracking: Assist in planning, implementing, and tracking departmental objectives, adapting strategies to meet performance goals. Business Development : Develop, negotiate, and profitably sell business within your authority. WorkloadManagement: Plan and prioritise team and individual workloads to meet SLAs and deliver exceptional customer service. Communication: Utilise appropriate communication, ensuring successful internal and external relationships. Regulatory Compliance : Operate within the regulatory framework, identifying and escalating any risks to the business. Target Achievement: Work towards and achieve set targets, taking on additional duties as required. Requirements: Insurance Experience: Previous experience in general insurance is essential. Communication Skills: Strong professional and confident communication skills, both verbal and written. Leadership Experience: Prior line management or supervisory experience, ideally in a client-facing environment. Sales Ability: Demonstrated ability to sell and negotiate effectively. Flexibility & Teamwork: Adaptable, able to manage workloads effectively, and work well under pressure within a team. Numeracy Skills: Confident with numbers and capable of constructing effective written communications. Qualifications: Qualified Cert CII or committed to achieving it within an agreed timescale. Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the market, industry, and company.
