Special Needs Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Location: Newbury Salary: Competitive, based on experience Job Type: Full-time, temporary to permanent on offer This new Special Needs School located in Newbury, is a vibrant and inclusive educational community, and they are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Needs Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of students with special educational needs (SEN), helping them reach their full potential in a nurturing environment. Day-to-day of the role: Assist in the planning and delivery of individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with SEN. Support classroom activities and provide one-on-one assistance to students as needed. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents. Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students. Participate in training and professional development opportunities. Required Skills & Qualifications: Previous experience working with children with special educational needs. HLTA qualification or equivalent. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with SEN.
