Learning Support Worker START DATE: ASAP JOB TITLE / ROLE: Support Worker SECTOR: Education LOCATION: Romford DETAILS: A large special educational needs college based in Romford, which caters for students aged between 16 to 25 years old with Autism, SLD and Complex Needs are looking for enthusiastic and resilient support workers to join them ASAP. The successful support worker will be required to provide general classroom support and may also be asked to work on a one to one basis or in small groups. You will need: To be committed to providing support to learners with a range of needs, be flexible in your approach and be able to work as part of a team Excellent communication skills, along with patience and enthusiasm Previous experience with SEND is a requirement Understanding and experience using Makaton, PECs and sensory approaches are advantageous but not essential Willingness to provide personal care support to students who are more vulnerable (such as wheelchair assistance, feeding etc.) This is a full time, long term role to start ASAP and will continue until the end of the next academic year (July 2025).
