Job Opportunity: HLTA to Support Year 7 Pupil (1:1) Are you passionate about making a difference in a young person’s life? We’re seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide 1:1 support to a Year 7 pupil with Social, Emotional, and Behavioural Difficulties at a fantastic school in Abergavenny, South Wales. This full-time, long-term opportunity is ideal for someone with the experience and compassion needed to help a pupil thrive both academically and emotionally. About the Role Start date: ASAP Hours: 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday Pay: Excellent rates starting from £110 per day (depending on experience) About the Pupil The pupil requires: Trauma-informed emotional support to address attachment and trauma needs. Assistance with underdeveloped communication skills and forming meaningful relationships. Support for phonetic writing, low vocabulary, and short word use. Strategies for managing ADHD and autism (beneficial experience). What We’re Looking For Proven experience supporting children with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. The ability to provide trauma-sensitive support and build trust. Experience working with children with ADHD and autism is highly beneficial. A calm, patient, and nurturing approach. Why Join Us?
