Job Title: Field Operations Engineer (Chemical treatment) Location: Preston, M6 Corridor Territory: From Carlisle to Stafford Type: Permanent, Full-time, 37.5 hours per week Benefits: £Competitive salary overtime commission 25 days annual leave (plus your birthday off), Company vehicle Fuel card, Comprehensive pension scheme Our client is for a Field Operations Engineer to deliver top-tier service to their water treatment customers. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships. • Provide on-site corrective/preventative maintenance and after-sales technical support. • Perform service, chemical treatment analysis, monitoring, and account management. • Ensure Legionella control and customer compliance with ACOP L8. • Offer recommendations for best working practices to customers. • Gather information for client review meetings and review site water services risk assessment. • Compile and maintain site log books for customers, including auditing. • Initiate water treatment programs on new accounts and commission new dosing/control installations. • Complete risk assessments, work reports, and all other relevant documentation. • Identify opportunities for selling parts, consumables, plant upgrades, and refurbishment work. • Provide feedback to customers on future product development, features, and functions. • Update line manager on issues that may impact the company financially, reputationally, or operationally. General Requirements: • HNC or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or Chemistry qualification (or similar). • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths. • Full UK driving license is mandatory. • Excellent time management skills. • Knowledge and experience in chemical water treatment (cooling tower management, boiler optimization). • Experience as an Operations/Service Engineer, Technical Support, or laboratory role. • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service. • Ability to handle challenging conversations and find resolutions. • Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels. • Demonstrable experience in building strong working relationships internally and externally. • Good IT competency. • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks
