Job Description

We are thrilled to be hiring a Design Engineer on behalf of our client, an industry leader in the manufacturing of workplace furniture for the UK & EU markets. Role Overview: We are searching for a skilled Design Engineer to join our client's dynamic design and engineering department. You will have the opportunity to develop cutting-edge furniture products for in-house manufacture and make a significant impact on the company's growth and innovation. Key Responsibilities: Develop innovative designs using SolidWorks. Utilise Swood CAM & Nesting or similar software for advanced manufacturing processes. Prepare programs and data for a 5-axis CNC router and a 3-axis nesting machine. Collaborate with a team to drive continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles. What We’re Looking For: Proficiency in SolidWorks, ideally Professional 2020 and above. Experience with Swood CAM & Nesting or similar software. Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite . Excellent problem-solving abilities and time management skills. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A full UK driver’s licence. Additional Information: Competitive salary range: £40,000 - £43,000 , based on experience. 21 days holiday Bank holidays per year (increasing 1 day annually, up to 25 days). Work hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:50 PM (with a 1-hour lunch break). Be part of a vibrant and innovative team. Work in a company that values growth and investment in advanced technologies.
