Overview We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Nursery Manager to lead our Watford nursery. You’ll oversee daily operations, ensure compliance with EYFS and Montessori standards, and create a nurturing environment where children and staff thrive. What You'll Do Manage the day-to-day running of the nursery. Lead a team to deliver outstanding care and education. Plan engaging activities that align with Montessori principles and the EYFS. Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and OFSTED requirements. Maintain accurate records using the FAMLY app and other systems. Manage staff schedules and conduct regular team meetings. Monitor and achieve KPIs related to quality, occupancy, and performance. Build strong relationships with parents, conducting meetings and sharing regular updates on their child’s progress. Organize parent events, training sessions, and newsletters. Ensure classrooms are well-resourced, clean, and set up daily. Actively support staff in using Montessori materials effectively. Report concerns or complaints promptly to the Directors. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childcare and early childhood education, coupled with excellent leadership and communication skills. As the Nursery Manager, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the development and well-being of children aged 0-5 years. Experience : Minimum 5 years in early childhood education and 3 years in a leadership role. Qualifications : Level 3 (or above) in Early Years; Montessori qualification is ideal (training available). Skills : Strong leadership, excellent communication (written and verbal), and a deep understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
