Poultry Farm Manager (Free Range Layers)- North East

The Company: An established and rapidly growing commercial free range laying enterprise operating across multiple sites throughout the UK. The business has invested heavily in facilities and technology to support and maintain exceptional bird performance and welfare. As a supplier to leading retailers, the enterprise is undergoing an exciting and significant growth phase. Role Responsibilities: To oversee the day-to-day farm operations, ensuring the highest levels of animal health and welfare are maintained to optimise egg production To lead and manage a team, driving excellence and implementing a high-performing, collaborative culture To ensure compliance with industry regulations, maintain high biosecurity measures across the farm To maintain accurate production records and routine ordering of feed To monitor egg production, quality and layer performance measures To monitor and manage the farm financial records, reporting on performance and profitability Skills you will need: Essential: Previous experience in UK poultry farm management and operations Excellent knowledge and understanding of layer production Proven experience of successfully managing staff and leading a team Highly organised with an exceptional eye for detail Practical knowledge of biosecurity measures and industry regulations for large poultry units Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Resilient and motivated, with a drive for continuous improvement A strong and capable work ethic Proficient IT skills Remuneration: A competitive salary and benefits package including accommodation options for the successful candidate.
