As a caretaker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running and upkeep of the school premises, providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. The position offers a great opportunity for someone with previous experience working in a school environment to contribute to the day-to-day operations of a thriving school. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the school buildings and grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Carry out general maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, decorating, and ensuring that all equipment is in good working order. Set up and prepare rooms for school events and activities. Oversee the opening and closing of the school, adhering to health and safety protocols. Assist with the security of the premises, including monitoring alarm systems and locking/unlocking buildings. Ensure that the school is fully stocked with cleaning and maintenance supplies. Provide general support to the school as required, including moving furniture and other practical tasks.The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience working in a school environment, with a solid understanding of health and safety requirements. Ability to work efficiently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks. Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with staff, students, and visitors.
